Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in fantastic SEN schools around Farnborough, Hampshire. You will support pupils with SEND and SEMH, working closely with teachers to help students access learning and participate in lessons.

We offer flexible full-time and part-time placements, matched to your skills and career goals, with access to CPD courses and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience in education or care is desirable but not essential.
• Based in or able to commute to Guildford and the surrounding Surrey areas.

Milk Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in fantastic SEN schools across Farnborough, Hampshire and the surrounding Surrey area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant in a SEN school, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND and SEMH.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils


• Helping students access learning in the classroom


• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs


• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and confidence


• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and interventions

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people


• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Previous experience in education, care, support work, youth work, coaching, or similar is desirable but not essential


• A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist education setting


• Based in or able to commute to Guildford and the surrounding Surrey areas
