Job summary

Kirk Hallam Community Academy, part of Nova Education Trust, seeks a Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated team during term-time.

You will support students with additional needs, in small groups or one-to-one, within the Learning Support facility or mainstream classroom. The role offers induction, CPD opportunities and a supportive staff wellbeing focus under the Nova Perks scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with additional needs.
• Ability to support learning in classroom and Learning Support facility.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Willingness to engage in CPD and induction.

Responsibilities

• Support students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with learning and behaviour in the classroom.
• Support during term-time and school hours under supervision.

Contract: Permanent, part time (32.5 hours), term time only

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at Kirk Hallam Community Academy. You will be joining us at an exciting and pivotal time in our journey of improvement.

The LSA team supports students’ learning and behaviour on an individual or small group basis within our Learning Support facility or in the classroom.

The ideal applicant has experience of providing support to young people with additional needs, working with them effectively to facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development.
