Job summary

Derbyshire County Council's Alfreton Park is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 2 to 19 with severe and profound learning difficulties. Reporting to the classroom teacher, you will provide tailored assistance to students and help create an inclusive learning environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of children, particularly those with special educational needs. Reporting to the classroom teacher, your responsibilities will include providing tailored assistance to students, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and implementing strategies for children and young people with additional needs.

Your core skills in working with children and special education, combined with your premium skills in teaching, will be essential in enhancing student engagement. The successful candidates must be prepared to work across the school and must be flexible and available to work Monday - Thursday 08.30 - 15:45.

Your interview will take place on Wednesday 11 November over the course of a full school day.
