Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant!

Location: Cramlington
Contract Type:Full-time, with the potential for a permanent position
Start Date: September 2025

Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for a committed Learning Support Assistant to work with one of our fantastic partner schools in Newcastle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting Students:Work closely with students who have a range of learning needs, providing one-on-one and small group assistance.
  • Collaborating with Teachers:Help create and deliver personalized learning plans to ensure every student reaches their potential.
  • Promoting Inclusion:Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Tracking Progress:Monitor and report on student progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Encouraging Independence:Empower students to develop confidence and self-reliance in their learning journey.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn just as much!
  • Skills:Strong communication, patience, and a nurturing attitude are essential. Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) is a plus.
