Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for an inclusive mainstream secondary school in Accrington. The role starts January 2027, full-time, on a temporary basis with potential to become permanent.

You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing targeted academic and emotional support, working alongside teachers and pastoral staff to remove barriers to learning. A welcoming team and development opportunities are offered.

Learning Support Assistant

Accrington, Lancashire Full-Time | January 2027 Start Temporary with potential for a permanent position

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Accrington to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from January 2027 on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will provide targeted academic and emotional support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and engage positively in school life.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students within lessons on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
