HEART Academies Trust is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work at Bedford Academy, supporting students and assisting teachers in delivering the curriculum. The role includes helping plan and prepare resources, and contributing to school policies and student welfare within an inclusive environment.
The position follows school hours with a 30-minute daily break, offering opportunities for CPD and professional development within a supportive team.
HEART Academies Trust formed in 2017 and currently consists of one secondary school, Bedford Academy and five partner primary schools; Cauldwell, Goldington, Shackleton, Shortstown and Wilstead. Together we serve more than 3000 pupils aged from 2 to 18 years.

To complement teachers’ delivery of the curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, students and school policies and strategies.
To work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
To provide learning support for students, the teacher and the Academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all, by utilising knowledge and skills when assisting with planning and to encourage students to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of students in all aspects of Academy life.
To work with Access staff on transition support for the curriculum, working with middle schools in supporting students with the studies alongside teaching staff.
Level 3 TA qualification required
8:15 – 15:30 Monday and Friday, 8:30 – 15:30 Tuesday – Thursday
30 minute unpaid break daily
