Job summary

Westholme School is seeking a Learning Resource Assistant to help create a welcoming library where pupils read, research and learn independently, while providing day‑to‑day ICT support to staff and pupils.

You will maintain orderly resources, support research and information literacy sessions, manage loans and cataloguing, run displays and participate in after‑school supervision, including occasional evenings for events.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning and literacy.
• Confidence with everyday ICT and problem solving.
• Strong organisation and time management.
• Clear, friendly communication and relationship building.
• Willingness to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Create an inviting learning environment and maintain a welcoming library.
• Support research and information‑literacy sessions with pupils across age groups.
• Catalogue and process new materials; manage loans, returns and overdue reminders; maintain records.
• Provide practical ICT support to pupils and staff (password resets, software, hardware).
• Contribute to after‑school supervision and events; support Stock and safety checks.
