Learning Mentors - Launceston & Surrounding Areas
Location: Launceston and surrounding areas
Pay: Competitive daily rates
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30-15:30)
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time

Tradewind Recruitment are currently supporting schools in Launceston and nearby areas who are seeking Learning Mentors to join their teams. These full-time roles involve working closely with students who need a bit of extra support - both academically and socially - to help them stay on track.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys building strong, supportive relationships with young people and wants to make a real impact in education.

Please note: a full UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.

About the Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you'll work primarily on a 1:1 basis with pupils who may be struggling to engage in the classroom. You'll provide guidance, encouragement, and structure to help them reach their potential - whether that's with schoolwork, behaviour, or social development.

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience working with young people (in schools or other settings)

• Can remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situations

• Are dependable, adaptable, and committed to full-time work

• Hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent - this is preferable, but not essential

• Have a full, clean UK driving licence
