Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for Learning Mentors to work with children with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and SEND needs in Primary schools in Sheffield.

Day to day responsibilities as a Learning Mentor:

  • Mentoring and guiding the students in their behavioural development
  • Assisting students with SEN to set and achieve personal and educational targets
  • Engage and assist with various learning activities and programs
  • Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours
  • Be a positive role model, helping students build confidence and self-esteem
  • Work closely with teachers, parents and other learning mentors to create a comprehensive support network for pupils

Requirements:

  • UK classroom experience in Primary Schools
  • To be available for full time employment
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
