Job summary

Esher Sixth Form College is seeking a Learning Mentor within the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team. You will work directly with students who have a range of needs, providing support inside and outside the classroom to help them access learning and develop study skills.

Based in the ALN Centre, you’ll run study skills sessions, provide one-to-one and small group support, and support during exams as a reader, scribe, or invigilator where required.

Compensation: Spine Point 7 – £23,378.33 per annum (full-time equivalent), inclusive of Fringe Area Allowance. Actual salary will be pro rata according to hours worked

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of young people? At Esher Sixth Form College (Ofsted Outstanding), we are looking for enthusiastic and committed Learning Mentor to join our Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team.

As a Learning Mentor, you’ll work directly with students who have a wide range of additional needs – supporting them both inside and outside the classroom to help them access learning, develop study skills, and build confidence. Based in our dedicated ALN Centre, you’ll provide one-to-one and small group support, run study skills sessions, and play a vital role during exam season, acting as a reader, scribe, or invigilator where required.

This is a varied and rewarding role, where every day you’ll see the impact of your support in helping students overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
