A Primary School in the Bristol area is currently looking for several candidates to join their team as a Learning Mentor.

You will be joining a school dedicated to supporting children and their families both educationally and personally. They are committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for the children.

The Role

These are full-time positions supporting small groups of children and individuals with a range of behavioural needs, including SEMH and SEND.

You will support the Class Teacher and work with children within the classroom who have behavioural, SEMH, and other SEND needs.

You will be expected to:

  • Maintain high expectations for each child's success.
  • Have experience working with children from difficult backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo to understand each child's needs.
  • Create a stimulating and purposeful environment.
  • Support and manage the child's needs.
  • Assess and communicate the child's progress and successes.
