Job summary

Marva is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in their homes and local community. You will provide person-centred support, help build independence, and promote positive routines while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires 12 months of relevant experience, PMVA training, and a valid UK driving licence. You will work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 months' experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
  • PMVA training.
  • Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience promoting independent living skills, including routines and nutrition.
  • Confidence using digital care planning systems to maintain records.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work documentation).
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.

  • Maintaining accurate digital care notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this Learning Disability Support Worker role, you must have:

  • At least 12 months' experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
