Essential Requirements
To be successful in this Learning Disability Support Worker role, you must have:
At least 12 months' experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
PMVA training.
Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills.
Experience promoting independent living skills, including routines and nutrition.
Confidence using digital care planning systems to maintain accurate records.
A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work documentation required).
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People or Adults).

Your Responsibilities as a Community Support Worker
As a Community Support Worker specialising in learning disabilities and complex needs, your responsibilities will include:
Providing consistent, person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in their homes and local community.
Planning and facilitating engaging, structured activities that promote independence and build social confidence.
Supporting with daily living skills, including meal planning, shopping, dietary needs, and personal routines.
Using PMVA techniques and de-escalation strategies to safely manage behaviours that may challenge.
Maintaining accurate digital care notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Working collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to achieve positive outcomes.
