Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker in Pontypridd. The role focuses on supporting adults with learning disabilities to live more independently, with opportunities for temporary or permanent placement across flexible shifts including days, nights, and sleeps.

The role requires 6 months in social care, an Enhanced DBS (update service) or willingness to obtain one, a valid UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a social care setting.
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pay for practical training (PBM, Manual Handling, Buccal) if not already completed.
• Willingness to complete online training (at no cost).

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic care and support to residents with Autism and complex needs.
• Observe, monitor, and record residents’ conditions accurately.
• Assist individuals through their care pathway to promote independence.
• Treat each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty.
• Work collaboratively with a team of multi-professionals to deliver personalised care.
