Job summary

The YOU Trust is recruiting a Temporary Support Worker to join the Learning Disabilities Service in Blackfield, New Forest (Hampshire). This maternity cover role is 40 hours per week, salary £26,490 per year plus £1,500 New Forest MRA.

The successful candidate will provide safe, person-centred support to help clients with learning disabilities live independently and participate in daily activities, including cooking and getting out into the community.

Qualifications

• Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience of supporting people with a variety of needs.
• Skills to promote independence and wellbeing for clients with learning disabilities.
• Good communication skills: verbal, non‑verbal, and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, person-centred support to boost clients' independence.
• Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and community activities.
• Support personal care, including toileting, when needed.
• Remain flexible, patient, and caring in a dynamic environment.
