Job summary

Compass Community is seeking a Performance & Development Trainer to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that equip foster carers and employees with the knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.

You will deliver training both face-to-face and virtually, create high-quality learning materials, and champion a culture of continuous learning across our fostering services, with the South Region as a key focus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards and Ofsted frameworks.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work across regions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging training programmes to foster carers and employees in virtual and face-to-face settings.
• Design, review and update learning materials to keep content current and impactful.
• Promote a strong learning culture across Compass Community.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and demonstrate impact of learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with fostering teams and learning colleagues to identify development needs.
• Support organisational projects and initiatives driving continuous improvement.
• Travel nationally to deliver training and attend meetings, workshops and events.
• Ensure all learning activity aligns with safeguarding, regulatory and organisational requirements.
