Department Overview

The Learning and Development Team at MJ Quinn plays a vital role in supporting employee growth and business success. JOB OBJECTIVE

The Learning and Development Coordinator at MJ Quinn Integrated Services Ltd will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating training programs for our diverse workforce. This role will support the L&D Manager and the HR Team with the execution of wellbeing initiatives designed to promote employee health & wellbeing, engagement, and job satisfaction. The coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that all training and wellbeing activities run smoothly, efficiently, and meet the needs of both office and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Training Coordination:

  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external training sessions, ensuring all employees and contractors are enrolled and informed.
  • Work closely with department managers and training providers to ensure training content and schedules meet organisational needs.
  • Track and maintain records of completed training sessions and certifications, ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding training enquiries, providing information about upcoming sessions, and assisting with registration.
  • Assist with the logistics for training events, including booking venues, coordinating materials, and managing resources.
  • Maintain and update the training calendar, ensuring that all required training is scheduled and communicated in advance.
  • Provide support for onboarding, induction and compliance training, ensuring that new employees and apprentices complete necessary programs.
  • Deliver internal training sessions as instructed by the L&D Manager.


Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support for the L&D function, including maintaining the LMS, generating reports, and tracking employee participation.
  • Manage the L&D inbox, answering email enquiries and responding to training requests.
  • Assist in the coordination and promotion of employee wellbeing programs, including wellness campaigns and mental health resources.
  • Help organise wellbeing events, such as wellness days, stress management workshops, or team-building activities.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a learning and development role or similar.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • IT literate – proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  • CIPD Level 3 L&D Practitioner or Level 3 in Education and Training (PTLLS) – desirable.
  • Full, clean driver’s license (due to occasional travel between sites).
  • Understanding of and commitment to Inclusion & Equality in the workplace.
  • Awareness of protocols required for dealing with protected characteristics covered by Equality Legislation.
