East Sussex County Council’s IT & Digital team is seeking a Learning & Development Consultant to shape the learning and development approach, identify capability needs, maintain the IT&D Skills Matrix and coordinate training programmes that strengthen service resilience and workforce capability.

As our Learning & Development Consultant, you will lead the learning and development approach for IT&D, identifying capability needs, maintaining the IT&D Skills Matrix and coordinating training programmes that strengthen service resilience and workforce capability.
You'll work closely with managers, trainers, Tech Advocates and external suppliers, oversee training budgets and schedules, lead the IT&D Learning & Development Steering Group and ensure colleagues have access to relevant, accessible and high-quality learning opportunities.
This role is hybrid, with an expectation of working from County Hall, Lewes at least one day a week and more frequently if there is a business need.
