Job summary

COOK HQ in Sittingbourne is seeking a Learning & Development Co-ordinator who will organise learning programmes from invitation through to follow-up. It is a varied, people-focused role, working with colleagues, trainers and external providers to ensure everyone has what they need for a great learning experience.

You will also manage our online learning, maintain the Learning Library and help people get the most from it, ensuring the right learning reaches the right people at the right time and

Qualifications

  • Must be organised and reliable with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and people skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with data and systems and learning technology.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the L&D calendar from planning to delivery and follow-up.
  • Create positive learner experiences and keep participants informed before, during and after learning.
  • Coordinate trainers, facilitators and providers to deliver sessions.
  • Maintain Learning Library and online learning resources, ensuring accessibility.
  • Keep records and data for L&D reporting and analytics.
  • Be the friendly face of L&D, support mentoring and help colleagues find learning they need.
  • Ensure learning operations run smoothly across rooms, resources and logistics.

Job description

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), October 2026 to October 2027
Salary: £30,000
Location: COOK HQ, Sittingbourne, with travel to other COOK sites and external venues
Hours: 40 hours per week, with some flexibility needed to support our 24-hour operations

About the Role

You will keep our learning programmes organised, welcoming and running smoothly – from the first invite to the final follow-up. It is a varied, people-focused role. You will work with lots of people across COOK, as well as trainers, facilitators and external providers, making sure everyone has what they need to have a great learning experience.

You will also play an important part in our online learning, looking after our Learning Library and helping people get the most from it.

In short, you will be the person who makes sure the right learning reaches the right people, at the right time – and that everything around it works brilliantly.

About the L&D Team

Our Learning & Development team creates creative, values-led learning experiences for everyone at COOK, helping people build their skills, grow and do their best work. We are an ambitious and close-knit team with a growth mindset. You will work closely with the L&D Manager, Training Manager, L&D Advisor and Digital Learning Designer to make our learning happen.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Co-ordinate the L&D calendar, taking learning from planning through to delivery and follow-up.
  • Create great learner experiences, keeping people informed, welcomed and supported before, during and after learning.
  • Co-ordinate trainers, facilitators and providers, making sure everyone has what they need to deliver great sessions.
  • Look after our Learning Library, keeping online learning, resources and communications up to date and helping everyone use it.
  • Keep our records and data in order, tracking attendance, feedback and training information to support L&D reporting.
  • Be the friendly face of L&D, responding to queries, supporting our mentoring programme and helping colleagues find the learning they need.
  • Keep things running smoothly, from training rooms and resources to the small details that make a learning experience feel properly COOK.
