Job summary

Costa Coffee is seeking a Learning Designer to craft engaging digital learning experiences across e-learning, video, guides and blended programmes. You’ll apply instructional design and adult learning principles to ensure memorable learning that supports business priorities.

You’ll collaborate with operational teams, SMEs and stakeholders to deliver impactful content, while managing several projects and leveraging tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering engaging learning solutions in corporate, retail, hospitality, or customer-focused environments.
• Strong instructional design expertise with adult learning principles and digital learning methodologies.
• Proficient in creating digital content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams and SMEs to identify learning needs and deliver impactful learning solutions.
• Influence and challenge stakeholders to focus on performance outcomes, not just training delivery.
• Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Leverage learning technologies, authoring tools and emerging trends to create engaging digital experiences.
• Maintain and enhance learning content within the LMS, driving innovation and accessibility.
• Measure learning effectiveness through data, feedback and insight, continuously improving content and learner outcomes.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative and detail-oriented, with experience using data and insight to evaluate learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Where you’ll work

Right now, our Support Centre teams work flexibly, blending home working with in-person time whenever it matters most – whether that’s a team moment, a creative session, or simply coming together to share ideas.

We’re excited to be moving into anew home for our brand in St Albans in January 2027 – an inspiring space from which our Support Centre teams will work three days a week to connect and collaborate in-person to bring our bold ambition to life.
