Job summary

South Thames Colleges Group is seeking a Learning Coach to support learners with social, emotional and mental health needs and EHCP outcomes. This term-time role is 28 hours per week over 38 weeks, offering an entry path into education, ideal for recent graduates aiming to become a teacher.

You will help learners achieve their English and Maths goals, maintain progress records, and plan targeted support. A GCSE/Level 2 in English and Maths is encouraged if not already held.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, but beneficial if you have worked with young people or adults with IEPs/EHCPs.
• Ability to use initiative, organise and prioritise, and communicate at all levels.
• Willingness to achieve GCSE/Level 2 in English & Maths if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs or EHCP outcomes.
• Keep high quality written records of learner progress and set appropriate smart targets.
