Job summary

Krishna Avanti Primary School, part of Avanti Schools Trust, is seeking a Learning Coach to support children’s learning and development. You will provide flexible individual, small-group and whole-class assistance, helping pupils engage with the curriculum and build independence.

Working alongside teachers and leaders, you will foster inclusive, nurturing classrooms, build positive relationships and adapt learning for pupils with SEND or EAL.

Qualifications

• Evidence of strong communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work with teachers to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on children's progress.
• An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities.
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, small-group and whole-class learning support, helping children to access the curriculum and make positive progress.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with children, recognising their individual strengths, needs and personalities and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, inclusion staff and external professionals to adapt learning and provide appropriate support, including for children with SEND and those for whom English is an additional language.
• Contribute to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, sharing observations and feedback with teachers and responding flexibly to the changing needs of children throughout the school day.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion and the values of The Avanti Way, while actively contributing to the wider life of the school and your own professional development.
