Job summary

St Helens Borough Council invites applications for a Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN at the Orchard Specialist Provision, Burnage Avenue, Clock Face. You will support pupils with autism in a new, supportive setting, contributing to personalised learning and inclusive practice from day one.

Due to our exciting expansion we are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN to join our brand new Orchard Specialist Provision with a friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued.

The Orchard specialist provision is based at Burnage Avenue, Clock Face, St Helens, WA9 4QB

The Orchard opened in September 2025 as a satellite of our well‑established Rectory Specialist Provision for children with autism. It will offer a nurturing and structured learning environment for 32 children across four specialist classrooms. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new and inspiring setting from the very beginning.

This role includes additional hours to support school transport from 7.30am.

Start date as soon as possible.
