At Laing O'Rourke, we're on an exciting journey to transform how we grow our people. As a Talent & Leadership Partner, you'll play a central role in evolving our learning and development offering - building on strong foundations to create future-ready, high-impact programmes that accelerate growth, leadership, and performance.

The Role:

Location: Dartford HQ (with national travel to offices and project sites)

In this pivotal role, you'll design, deliver, and manage end-to-end talent and leadership programmes that empower our people to grow, lead, and thrive. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make learning meaningful and future-focused - not just deliver what's always been done.

  • Design and deliver engaging, forward-thinking learning and leadership programmes.
  • End to end programme management of the current suite of talent and manager development programmes, which support career growth, leadership, and skills enhancement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create tailored solutions that align with business strategy and individual aspirations.
  • Champion innovation – bring new ideas, tools, and technology into our learning strategy.
  • Use data and feedback to measure impact, continuously improve, and demonstrate the value of learning.

About You:

  • A natural collaborator with strong stakeholder and relationship-building skills.
  • A structured and hands-on programme manager, with a keen eye for detail and delivery.
  • An engaging facilitator, confident in leading sessions and energising groups.
  • Curious, confident, and resilient — someone who asks questions, speaks up, and thrives in a changing environment.
  • A genuine passion for people, learning, and performance.

Skills & Experience

We value skills and capability above all, but you'll ideally have:

  • 3–5 years in a learning, talent, or leadership development role.
  • Experience in programme design and delivery aligned to performance and business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Suite, Power BI and psychometrics).
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ideally, industry insight into construction or similar large-scale, project-based environments.
  • CIPD or equivalent professional L&D or HR accreditation.
