A respected care and education provider is seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner to lead strategic initiatives across a diverse organisation. The role encompasses designing impactful learning initiatives and partnering with team leaders to foster continuous improvement and align training with business goals. Candidates should possess strong L&D experience, especially within health, social care, or education sectors, and demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
Cityworx are recruiting on behalf of a respected care and education provider for a Learning & Development Business Partner.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced L&D professional to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of impactful learning initiatives across a multi-division organisation.
Supporting teams across Care & Support and Education, the postholder will partner with leaders to identify development needs, align training to strategic goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic L&D Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to managers across all divisions
Align training with regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC, Ofsted) and business priorities
Champion a culture of continuous professional development
Learning Design & Delivery
Design and deliver blended learning content (workshops, toolkits, eLearning)
Quality assure outsourced induction and CPD programmes
Manage external training providers and ensure value for money
LMS Administration
Maintain training records and certifications on the LMS
Coordinate training schedules, communications, and learner support
Produce reports for compliance and audit purposes
Apprenticeship & Professional Development Coordination
Support learners and managers with apprenticeship journeys
Track progress and ensure clear development pathways
Promote internal career progression
Evaluation & Reporting
Analyse learning outcomes and feedback to assess impact
Report L&D metrics and progress to senior leadership
Contribute to training budget planning and delivery
General L&D Administration
Manage inboxes, training queries, and logistics
Maintain up-to-date documentation, policies, and processes
Requirements:
Essential:
Proven L&D experience, ideally within health, social care or education
Strong administration and LMS experience
Experience supporting apprenticeships and external training providers
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately
Desirable:
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent L&D qualification
Familiarity with CQC, Ofsted, and Skills for Care standards
Understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy and ESFA funding
Experience developing eLearning and blended learning programmes
