This role is within a collaborative unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work together, remaining two separate legal entities with different terms and conditions.
Both Surrey Police and Sussex Police staff are employed under their respective force terms and conditions. Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational needs. Salary Grade Range: Surrey Police £38,064 - £45,058 / Sussex Police £39,813 - £43,920
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Location: Surrey Police Headquarters, Guildford
The starting salary will typically be at the bottom of the range and pro-rated if less than full-time hours.
This role involves working with Learning and Professional Development teams to foster a learning culture focused on closing investigative capability gaps for first-line leaders. Responsibilities include supporting supervisors in informal learning, coaching, mentoring, identifying capability gaps, and providing advice and guidance.
The role also entails designing and delivering innovative, blended learning programs for investigative supervisors and leadership development, evaluating their impact, and staying abreast of future trends to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Additional duties include delivering courses for PIP1 and PIP2 officers and staff, maintaining professional development standards, and facilitating team learning sessions.
