Learning AND Development Manager - London/Hybrid Working

Learning AND Development Manager - London/Hybrid Working

Location: Hybrid (3 days in Central London office, 2 days Home Working)

Salary: £55-65k + Benefits, depending on experience

Our client, an IT and Networking Managed Services Company, is looking to hire an L&D Manager within their HR Team. This is a new role designed for someone eager to create and shape the L&D function from scratch.

The HR team provides centralised learning for over 500 employees, focusing on continuous growth and skill development throughout their careers.

As the company expands rapidly in the UK and internationally, the new Talent and Learning Manager will implement talent and learning initiatives from the ground up in the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to develop tailored programmes for all levels, from senior management to entry-level graduates, including face-to-face, 1-2-1, and e-learning solutions.

You will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering comprehensive learning and development solutions, ensuring staff have the skills and knowledge to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand learning needs and develop strategies
  • Design and deliver leadership and industry-specific programmes
  • Manage the performance management and training budgets
  • Source external training providers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Create and implement graduate schemes, apprenticeships, and internal L&D catalogues
  • Maintain up-to-date training materials and relevant content
  • Implement succession planning and talent management processes
  • Work with partners to maximize training product use and maintain accreditations
  • Identify industry training requirements and communicate strategies
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and report metrics to the HR Director

Qualifications & Experience:

  • CIPD qualified with experience in developing L&D programmes from scratch
  • 5+ years of leading training initiatives
  • Experience designing and implementing graduate and apprenticeship programmes
  • Strong project management skills with measurable results
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
  • Deep knowledge of management, organizational development, and adult learning
  • Experience supporting diversity and cultural change initiatives
  • Coaching certification is a plus
  • Industry experience is advantageous
