YMCA Derbyshire in Derby is seeking a Learner Support Assistant to work with learners, tutors and the SEND and Inclusion team, delivering targeted support to enable learners to engage in learning and overcome barriers.
You will foster an inclusive learning environment, support with additional needs, contribute to learner reviews and visits, and help maintain Ofsted-regulated standards across Key College programmes.

Hours: 21 hours per week (over 41 weeks + 5 training days Key College Term Time Only)

As a Learner Support Assistant, you will work closely with learners, tutors and the SEND and Inclusion team to provide targeted support that enables young people to engage in learning, overcome barriers, and achieve their full potential.
You will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment by supporting learners with additional needs, implementing reasonable adjustments, promoting positive behaviour, and helping learners develop the confidence and skills they need to progress into positive destinations.
Working across YMCA Key College programmes, you will support the delivery of high-quality education, contribute to learner reviews and support plans, assist with educational visits and work placements, and help maintain the high standards expected within an Ofsted-regulated provision.
