Job summary

Contechs is seeking a Process Engineer for a 12-month contract based in the West Midlands. The role focuses on applying Lean Manufacturing and Design principles, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, and attending programme meetings at all levels.

The successful candidate will assess design feasibility for assembly and build a robust process strategy to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in the product development phase
• Understanding IPS requirements & Lean Manufacturing
• Relevant previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes
• Ability to apply a logical approach to problem solving
• Ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment

Responsibilities

• Application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
• Attend programme meetings at all levels and present where applicable.
• Feasibility of designs to suit build requirements - DFA.
• Build process strategy for manufacturing.
• Planning, developing and implementation of all written Processes for manufacturing.
