Job summary

M+A is seeking a Product & Process Improvement Engineer in Middleton, UK to join a manufacturing team focused on capital and improvement projects. The role targets reducing waste, energy usage and costs while enhancing quality, efficiency, reliability, and process safety.

You will work with engineers and maintenance across the site, leading trials and process optimisations with a practical, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Degree level in engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment applying improvement methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Utilise Lean and Continuous Improvement principles to review processes and equipment for efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot and improve production processes.
• Interpret data from technical and operational staff to drive improvements.
• Lead process development trials, simulations, and report results.
• Improve product profit margins through quality and material evaluations.
• Manage contractors for designated projects with emphasis on safety.
