Job Description Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lean Operations Leader to support program management activities across AI and innovation initiatives in aerospace engineering and supply chain. This role involves driving operational improvements and integrating emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, into engineering and supply chain processes.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in lean operations, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration, working closely with senior leaders and technical experts.

The successful candidate will coach, promote, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in various business management roles (e.g., GM of Business Unit, or Executive Lead of a Function). The role aims to foster cultural transformation and significantly improve operational metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support program tracking, documentation, and coordination for AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Assist in analyzing workflows and identifying opportunities to streamline processes using lean tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and digital teams to gather data and track project progress.
  • Help prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate program updates and outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities by collecting feedback, tracking KPIs, and supporting problem-solving sessions.
  • Participate in workshops and team meetings to learn and contribute to project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Operations, Business, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Internship or full-time experience in operations or project support.
  • Familiarity with lean principles (e.g., 5S, waste elimination, process mapping) and a willingness to learn more.
  • Interest in AI, automation, and digital innovation within engineering or supply chain environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Miro, Smartsheet).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to project management or continuous improvement initiatives through coursework, internships, or previous roles.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of coding (e.g., Python, HTML/CSS/JS, C++) is a plus.
  • Passion for innovation, curiosity, and a team-first mindset.
