Job summary

Sussex Police Headquarters, Lewes, is seeking a Leadership Trainer to support officers and staff across both Sussex and Surrey forces. You will design, develop and deliver blended learning interventions to strengthen leadership capabilities and embed a continuous professional development culture.

You will work with Learning and Professional Development to identify priority training needs, evaluate delivery effectiveness, and contribute to mentoring initiatives, coaching, and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 or 4 or equivalent qualification in Training and Development or associated field (or working towards).
• Advanced knowledge of training and delivery methods.
• High emotional intelligence with ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Ability to present information effectively to colleagues at all ranks.
• Understanding of Competency Value Framework and College of Policing Leadership tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver innovative and blended leadership training to support a continuous professional development culture across both forces.
• Evaluate effectiveness of training delivery and ensure quality assurance and governance.
• Mentor and coach leaders and support mentoring initiatives and other project work.
• Travel across Surrey and Sussex delivering training solutions across a wide geographical area.
