Job summary

Leicester City Council is seeking a skilled Leadership Programme Co-ordinator to design and deliver a high‑quality leadership development offer across Children's and Adult Social Care. You will work with senior leaders, managers and external partners to develop engaging pathways and champion inclusive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience within Children's or Adult Social Care and/or Early Help services.
  • Experience of training, coaching, mentoring and developing practitioners and leaders.
  • Experience of leading people and managing performance.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, statutory social care frameworks and adult learning principles.
  • Strong project management, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and creating inclusive learning environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing leadership programmes for leaders across Children's and Adult Social Care.
  • Identifying leadership development needs and future workforce requirements.
  • Creating and supporting the delivery of workshops, learning events, coaching and mentoring opportunities.
  • Developing meaningful evaluation frameworks to measure impact and continuous improvement.
  • Embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion throughout leadership development activities.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to co-design learning that meets service needs.
  • Building strong relationships with leaders, practitioners, partner agencies and external providers.
  • Representing Leicester City Council within regional leadership development networks and forums.

About the Role

As our Leadership Programme Co-ordinator,you'lltake the lead in creating,implementingand evaluating innovative leadership development pathways for current and aspiring leaders.You'llwork closely with senior leaders, managers, practitioners, organisational developmentcolleaguesand external partners to ensure our leadership offer is engaging, relevant and impactful. You'llalsochampionEquality,Diversityand Inclusion (EDI)across all aspects of leadership development, helping to embed inclusive leadership behaviours and support organisational culture change.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing and developing leadership programmes for leaders across Children's and Adult Social Care.
