Job summary

Azenta Life Sciences in Manchester, UK, is looking for a Senior Workday HRIS Analyst to lead Payroll configuration and global payroll operations.

You will design, test, and optimize Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence, partnering with Payroll, HR, Finance and IT to ensure compliance, data integrity and a best-in-class employee experience.

This onsite role requires 4+ days per week in the office and a strong background in payroll regulatory changes in US and UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRIS, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of HRIS experience, with at least 3 years supporting Workday Payroll.
• Deep functional expertise in Workday Payroll and payroll configuration.
• Experience supporting payroll operations in both the United States and United Kingdom.
• Experience configuring Workday Time Tracking and Absence.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, accruals, and leave management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for Workday Payroll.
• Configure and maintain payroll processes, earnings, deductions, taxes, inputs, pay groups, pay components, and payroll security.
• Support payroll processing and troubleshoot issues.
• Partner with Payroll teams to meet US and UK regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain scalable solutions for leave and absence management.
• Automate payroll-related workflows and integrations.
• Create reports, dashboards, and audit-ready data.
• Provide user training and ongoing support.
