Job summary

Computer Futures in the United Kingdom is seeking a WCS Test Engineer to own testing of Warehouse Control System solutions within complex warehouse automation environments. You will design, plan, and execute testing across WCS integrations to ensure robust performance before deployment at customer sites.

The role requires hands-on manual testing in emulation or simulation, leading testing activities, and validating integrations with WMS, PLCs, AMRs, and other automation equipment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience designing and executing testing strategies for WCS integrations.
• Hands-on manual testing in emulation or simulation environments.
• Ability to lead testing activities and define scope, coverage and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for WCS solutions.
• Analyse specifications and requirements to create effective testing strategies.
• Lead testing throughout the project lifecycle and own testing approach.
• Perform manual testing in emulation/simulation environments before deployment.
• Validate integrations with WMS, PLCs, AMRs, and other automation equipment.
• Investigator defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with teams.
• Plan and execute FATs and customer demonstrations.
• Present system functionality confidently to customers and stakeholders.
• Produce clear testing documentation and reports throughout delivery.
