Job summary

Kier Group, based in Exeter, is seeking a Lead Water Technician to join our South West Water team. You'll support schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large mains repairs, ensuring safety and high standards.

Day-to-day includes site setup, excavations, installing water fittings, performing planned or reactive work, maintaining productivity, updating job docs on a tablet, and contributing to rapid response for clean water delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in water utilities operations.
• Full driving licence held.
• Willingness to upskill and develop career.
• Collaborative approach and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out manual labour in setting up site, excavating, preparing and installing water fittings
• Undertaking planned or reactive work on large diameter mains
• Ensuring productivity within timescales and to targets
• Updating all relevant documentation on each job using a tablet
• Being part of a rapid response team that delivers and restores clean water
