Job summary

Stantec is seeking a water resources expert to join a multidisciplinary team in the UK. You will plan, deliver and implement water resource projects, ensuring regulatory, budget and schedule compliance while supporting early career colleagues across WRMPs, drought plans and regional strategies.

You will build strong client and stakeholder relationships, contributing to bids and the wider Water and Environment portfolio. A degree in a relevant field and chartership progress are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geography, Geological Sciences, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification in Hydrology, Hydrogeology or Water Resources Management.
• Chartered or working towards it with CIWEM, ICE or Institute of Water.
• Extensive experience in the water industry across consultancy, water company, regulatory or academic background.
• Experience with WRMPs, Drought Plans, regional plans and supply-demand balance assessments; comfortable across hydrological, hydrogeological and environmental assessment work (HRA, SEA and WFD).
• Able to work at pace in multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex programmes with technical rigour and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivering and implementing water resource projects within scope, budget and timescales.
• Support development of early career colleagues across technical areas.
• Client-facing role, building networks with clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to wider Water and Environment department and bids/proposals.
