Job summary

Egis is expanding its UK Water team and seeks a Principal Wastewater Modeller to lead urban drainage and sewer modelling initiatives. You will drive Infoworks ICM modelling, promote sustainable drainage practices, and mentor colleagues while delivering projects for water companies and authorities in a UK-wide setting.

The role requires 8+ years in civil/environmental engineering with CIWEM accreditation in sight and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing, verifying/calibrating and reviewing Infoworks ICM models for wastewater and urban drainage.
• Understanding of hydrological assessment (e.g. FEH, ReFH) and regulator knowledge.
• Interest in developing digital tools to improve efficiency; scripting advantageous.
• Knowledge of other modelling packages beneficial (e.g. Mike, Flood Modeller Pro).
• Experience in UK Water Sector with client/consultancy exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Infoworks ICM modelling capabilities and promote best practice.
• Champion SuDS and blue/green infrastructure alongside traditional methods.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise deliverables quality.
• Collaborate across UK/Ireland/France to deliver hydraulic modelling services.
• Provide technical advice, manage projects, and support tenders.
