Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced Driver Team Leader to supervise a Loader team across Aylesbury Vale, ensuring safe and compliant waste collection. You will drive 7.5t–32t vehicles, manage daily checks, and report incidents while supporting a larger Operations Management Team.

There is a strong emphasis on health and safety, punctuality, and effective communication. The role involves flexible hours with early starts and potential Saturday catch-ups after holidays.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 LGV driving licence with at least 2 years of driving experience.

• Evidence of CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is required.
• Experience driving waste collection vehicles is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small Loader team to collect and dispose of waste per schedule.
• Co-ordinate resources to meet operational procedures and contractual terms.
