Job summary

Eastern Education Group is seeking a Level 3 qualified Carpenter to join our construction teaching team in the UK. You will bring hands-on industry experience to inspire learners through practical demonstrations, workshops, and classroom activities.

You will teach and assess across Carpentry programmes, including Apprenticeships, FE courses, T Levels, and related provisions, while acting as Tutor to learning groups, providing academic guidance and progression advice.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Carpentry qualification and hands-on industry experience.
• Experience teaching or mentoring in practical carpentry tasks.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess carpentry learning across programmes.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess Carpentry across Apprenticeships, FE, and T Levels.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning to meet standards.
• Provide pastoral support and progression advice as Tutor.

Your strong communication and mentoring skills will enable you to support both staff and students during practical demonstrations, workshops, and classroom activities. You will have a natural ability to pass on your skills and experiences, nurturing learners as they develop their own capabilities in carpentry techniques such as measuring, cutting, assembling and installing timber structures.

You will teach and assess across Carpentry programmes, including Apprenticeships, FE courses, T Levels and related provision, as well as plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning that meets College, awarding body and employer standards. You will also act as Tutor to learning groups, providing academic guidance, pastoral support and progression advice.
