Job summary

Sopra Steria’s Aerospace Defence and Security sector is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with a specialism in Virtualisation for a client in the defence sector. The role is on-site in Farnborough and requires DV clearance eligibility.

This is a development opportunity to become a technical authority in virtualization technologies such as VMware. You will maintain the live virtualization platform, manage multi-tenant domains, and support patching and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation

Qualifications

• Background in Infrastructure or IT Support with virtualization experience.
• Understanding of Server, Storage and Backup.
• Excellent stakeholder management and drive to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of live virtualization platform.
• Management of several domains in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
• Facilitating patching, configuration and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Some light data centre management duties.
