Job Title: Lead Visual Merchandiser (Fashion)

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 37.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive DOE

Our client, a UK leader in the fashion retail industry, offers an outstanding employment opportunity. As a large and dynamic company experiencing sustained growth, you will report directly to the Head of Merchandising or Merchandising Director.

Role Requirements

This role is crucial in creating and implementing the company's Visual Merchandising strategy. You will generate and manage VM layouts and guidelines, support the Retail department in operational execution, and seek ways to enhance departmental and company performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and create visual concepts and guidelines for seasonal ranges and shop-in-shops.
• Develop and manage the creative direction for current and new stores, ensuring alignment with the brand vision.
• Manage the store portfolio's look and feel, including visual merchandising, POS, windows, layouts, standards, and fittings.
• Select stock for photoshoots, campaigns, and in-store POS images.
• Collaborate on designing window schemes and implementing them in-store.
• Develop the in-store visual offer, including creative treatments, merchandising, and window displays.
• Conceptualize and manage the design and development of fixtures and fittings.
• Ensure all retail shop fits align with the brand's forward-moving vision.
• Work closely with Retail, Buying, and Merchandising teams to align communication with the product vision.
• Coordinate with e-commerce and digital marketing teams to maintain a consistent tone of voice across all touchpoints.
• Manage budgets and collaborate with external agencies.

Experience & Skills Required

• Experience leading a VM team in a fashion retail environment.
• Strong understanding of market, target customer, and brand positioning.
• Awareness of market trends, competitors, and the industry landscape.
• Experience in branding, layout, window design, and in-store visual merchandising.
• Financial and budget management skills.
