The Package
Our client is a corporately owned practice seeking an accomplished and motivated Head Vet to lead a well-established small animal team across two local sites in North East Scotland. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), offering a competitive salary of up to £70,000 FTE, dependent on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
The role offers a consistent full-time rota with no mention of OOHs or weekend commitments, allowing for a positive work-life balance while supporting two nearby branches in a leadership capacity.
The practice is home to a dedicated and forward-thinking clinical team comprising Vets, RVNs, Receptionists, and Patient Care Assistants. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and has space for growth, with full backing for a Head Vet looking to drive the development of clinical excellence and team progression.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the clinical direction of the practice, mentoring team members, contributing to service development, and maintaining high standards of patient and client care. There is significant scope for the successful applicant to influence the direction of the practice and expand the clinical offering to the local community.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and confident veterinary surgeon with strong leadership and communication skills. A passion for mentoring and a proactive approach to practice development will be key to success in this role.
