Salary up to £75,000 DOE, up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance plus up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus

We have a unique opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our management team at Catley Cross Vets. You will be a vital part in leading the small animal team whilst also enjoying clinical freedom through a diverse caseload. We are looking for a forward-thinking, experienced veterinary surgeon with good diagnostic and surgical skills, but also with a keen interest in leadership and clinical benchmarking. In addition to being a clinical lead you will be required to be an active participant in business development and financial decision making, whilst supporting the growth of the wider team.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week over 4 days, earliest start time 8am and latest finish time 7pm, a 1 in 4 Saturday rota working 8:30am - 4pm, no OOH or bank holidays.

Our team

You will be joining a well-established and supportive team consisting of 3 vets, 7 qualified RVNs, as well as dedicated receptionists and kennel assistants. Our senior leadership team consists of a Practice Director, Head Nurse and Deputy Head Nurse who will support you within this role. We do local charity work for the RSPCA, we are very much a collaborative team and have a strong knowledge-sharing environment.

The local area

Halstead is a traditional market town with the River Colne running through the heart of it. A beautiful river walk runs alongside the river. The town is home to numerous independent boutique shops, family butchers & bakers, cafés, restaurants, a wealth of floral attractions, buildings built by the Courtauld's family and two beautiful Churches. Nearby, you'll find Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds, along with excellent transport links to London.
