CVS Veterinary Group is seeking a Head Veterinary Surgeon for Wythall Veterinary Centre in Birmingham. This FTC maternity cover is full-time (or part-time considered) with no out-of-hours requirements.

You will lead a supportive, experienced team of vets and nurses, coaching colleagues while delivering high standards of patient care. We offer market-leading CPD, strong admin support, and opportunities to shape clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Veterinary surgeon with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor a veterinary team.
• Strong clinical skills with autonomy over surgical and medical caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the clinical team to deliver high standards of care.
• Oversee surgical and medical cases and coordinate complex treatment plans.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior clinicians and nursing staff.
• Contribute to practice development and clinical governance.
