Job summary

Vetted Recruitment Limited is seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon for a semi-rural small animal practice in Birmingham. The role offers great work-life balance with no out-of-hours work, supportive mentoring, and opportunities for professional development.

You will perform exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and collaborate with Cats Protection, with a rotating Saturday morning shift and a 1 in 3 rota, while delivering high standards of client care.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon eligible to register with the RCVS.
• Strong clinical autonomy and decision-making.
• Committed mentor who supports colleagues and shares best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform one operating shift and three consulting shifts weekly, excluding emergencies.
• Participate in a 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota.
• Conduct examinations and patient assessments with diagnostics.
• Carry out surgical procedures and treatments.
• Collaborate with Cats Protection for weekly examinations and surgeries.
• Support and mentor colleagues to foster best practices.
