Job summary

Autotech Recruit is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join as Lead Technician in a busy automotive workshop in London. The role focuses on advanced diagnostics, complex engine work and mentoring colleagues to uphold high workshop standards.

You will drive repairs from diagnostic fault finding through to completion, maintain accurate documentation and contribute to ongoing training with the team. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capability.
• Experience completing complex mechanical repairs and engine work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Lead Technician experience advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault finding.
• Undertake complex mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Complete major engine and timing-related work including belts and timing chains.
• Support workshop productivity and technical standards.
• Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality.
• Assist colleagues with technical guidance where required.
