Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with proven workshop experience.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.
• Active MOT Tester licence (Class 4/7) preferred, but not essential.
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.
• Strong diagnostic skills, high attention to detail, and a practical problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle health checks and brake/clutch overhauls.
• Timing belts and general mechanical repairs.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to technical experience and skill level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Guaranteed core weekday stability with optional weekend overtime to boost earnings)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected workshop team in Bridgend. You will perform routine inspections, servicing, major mechanical repairs, diagnostic troubleshooting, and maintain high standards to consistently deliver clean "first-time fix" results.

Requirements
