Job summary

MaxAd Fixed Fee Recruitment is seeking an experienced Validation Engineer to own validation and testing for cutting-edge broadcast hardware in Petersfield, Hampshire. You will design automated validation systems from scratch, integrating hardware test equipment and developing scalable testing solutions that deliver meaningful data for stakeholders.

You will work across software, firmware and hardware teams, shaping validation strategy and creating robust procedures while maintaining high quality

Qualifications

• Experience designing automated validation systems and test procedures.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience building test automation pipelines and interfacing with hardware APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD tools.
• Ability to document complex validation processes clearly.
• Broadcast or media technology exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, document and implement robust validation and test procedures.
• Develop automated test frameworks and scripts using Python and Bash.
• Build and maintain test automation pipelines and supporting infrastructure.
• Identify, evaluate and integrate hardware test equipment into automated workflows.
• Develop APIs and interfaces to enable automated interaction with test equipment.
• Analyse test results, monitor trends and provide meaningful performance metrics.
• Produce reports and insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Investigate issues with root-cause analysis and maintain records in ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with software, firmware and hardware engineering teams.
• Shape the future direction of validation and testing across the organisation.
