Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol is seeking a Verification & Validation Test Facility Rig Design Engineer to lead rig test vehicle design and oversee design packages through Rolls-Royce processes. You will ensure solutions meet requirements, manage technical risk and coach rig designers within a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers exposure to gas turbine development programmes, including Tempest, with a technical degree and a minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience.

Qualifications

• Technical degree level or extensive post-graduate experience in design engineering.
• Knowledge of gas turbines, engineering standards and processes.
• Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience; ability to manage technical risk.

Responsibilities

• Technically manage and oversee rig test vehicle solutions and design packages.
• Check formal product definitions and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Support rig test design supply chain and drive improvements.
• Coach and develop rig designers and contribute to risk management.
